I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
